Until Sunday, October 02, 2022, the Natural History Museum of Lille Welcome the exhibition “Utopia in the Museum / Perceiving Nature”.

The exhibition “Utopia in the Museum / Perceiving Nature”
on the occasion of the season Lille3000’s Utopia, The Lille Natural History Museum will question our relationship with nature and will offer to vision of possible new modes of society celebrating the biodiversity. So you can: to understand, of sensitive way and collaborative, of different perceptions who exists in nature, and so see the World through the eyes of animals, as zooscope; meet Blob, this unicellular living being, neither animal, nor plant, nor fungus, belonging to family of amoebas, created at the Museum and showing a form of unexpected intelligence…; to discover an exhibition dossier honoring the scientific representation work of extinct tree species, especially with the discovery of Madeleine Aimé’s illustration works. Of meetings, nights and workshops will also come illustrate these themes and will allow you think differently about tomorrow, and envision a world where the human is reconciled with the living.

The Lille Natural History Museum offers you workshops, of visits, a conference it is a movie night.

Every Sunday morning from 10:30 am to 11:30 am. (except on the 1st Sunday of the month)
Guided tour, the biodiversity of yesterday and today
From the biodiversity of the past to today, this guided tour offers an awareness of this very current topic. Through its collections, the museum wants to be a key place to raise awareness of the challenges of protecting and balancing this biodiversity.

Ferns… a forest! – Adult-child double workshop (children aged 3 to 6 years)
In connection with the exhibition of drawings by the scientific illustrator Madeleine Aime, creates a composition with fern prints, inspired by the forests of the Carboniferous! You can even bring back the leaves you picked yourself!

The bubble has invaded the Natural History Museum of Lille! Using photos and videos from the Museum’s collections, discover different animation techniques in 2 hours (rotoscopy, cartoon) and animate your own creature image by image to create the perfect illusion! Restitution of creations and invasion of the blob at the Museum during the closing weekend of Utopia… With the Rencontres Audiovisuelles

Synopsis
